WATERCRAFT INSURANCE

Watercraft Insurance

Coverage

Watercraft Insurance is not required by law in Arizona. But that doesn’t mean you don’t need it. If your boat is financed your bank will require you insure the vessel to its full value in the event of a loss. Your marina may also require proof of insurance.

Don’t find yourself in a financial disaster by not purchasing Boat Insurance for liability of operation to loss in the event of a collision.
Protect your self from Liability of collision with another boat, dock, land, jet ski etc.

The more your boat is worth, the more important insurance becomes to protect yourself from financial loss. If you have an umbrella policy, it will require your boat policy to have certain liability limits, and you should make sure there is no coverage gap. Many umbrella or excess liability policies require the underlying policy (such as your boat policy) have liability limits of at least $300,000 to $500,000.
